01Scope and Controller

This Privacy Policy applies to Qitiao and any app screens, support channels, web pages, or features that link to this Policy (the "Service"). Qitiao is the organization responsible for the handling of personal information described in this Policy.

For privacy questions, rights requests, consent withdrawal, complaints, or accessibility needs related to this Policy, contact us at qitiaocyl@163.com.

This Policy is designed to address privacy expectations for users in California, Canada, Singapore, and Australia. Depending on where you live and how the Service is offered, some rights or obligations may apply only if legal thresholds or jurisdictional requirements are met.

Important: Qitiao is built around photo import and camera capture. We use selected images to power gameplay. Where features operate locally, image files and game progress may remain on your device unless you choose to share them, contact support with them, or use a future feature that transmits them.

02Information We Collect

We collect only information that is reasonably necessary for the Service, support, security, legal compliance, analytics, attribution, or other purposes described in this Policy.

We do not ask you to provide government identification numbers, financial account passwords, full payment-card numbers, precise geolocation, health information, or biometric information for identification. Please do not send such information to us in support messages.

03Photos, Camera, and Local Storage

The Service may request camera and photo library permissions so you can capture or import images and convert them into game assets such as resources, heroes, buildings, artifacts, troops, and bosses. The app may store selected images or compressed copies in local application support storage and may save processed local image assets if you grant permission.

You can change camera and photo library permissions through your device settings. If you disable permissions, photo import, camera capture, or related conversion features may stop working.

If you include another person in a photo, you are responsible for having a lawful basis and any required permission to use that image in the Service. Avoid importing sensitive, confidential, or private images unless you are comfortable using them in a game context.

04How We Use Information

We may use information for the following purposes:

  • Operate the Service, including photo conversion, local storage, game progress, virtual economy, battle simulation, achievements, and user interface features.
  • Process and deliver in-app purchases, verify transactions, prevent duplicate fulfillment, resolve purchase issues, and respond to refunds or chargebacks.
  • Provide support, answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and communicate about important Service or policy changes.
  • Maintain security, detect fraud or abuse, protect users, enforce the User Agreement, and comply with law or platform requirements.
  • Analyze and improve functionality, performance, stability, design, game balance, accessibility, and user experience.
  • Support advertising, measurement, or attribution only where permitted by law, platform policy, and your device settings or consent choices.

Where required, we rely on consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations, or other lawful bases recognized by applicable law. You may withdraw consent where legally available, but withdrawal may affect features that depend on that consent.

05How We Share Information

We do not sell your photos. We do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising unless a feature or provider is enabled in a way that legally constitutes such sharing and we provide any required notice and opt-out mechanism.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers and processors that help us with hosting, app functionality, analytics, crash reporting, purchase verification, customer support, fraud prevention, security, and communications.
  • App stores and payment platforms to process purchases, deliver virtual coins, handle refunds, enforce platform rules, and investigate transaction issues.
  • Legal, safety, and compliance recipients when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or enforce our terms.
  • Business transaction parties if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy protections.
  • With your direction or consent when you choose to share information, submit support materials, or use a feature that sends information to a third party.

06Retention and Security

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining local progress, completing purchases, resolving disputes, enforcing terms, complying with legal obligations, and protecting security.

Local game data and selected images may remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, delete the app, or your operating system removes them. Support emails and purchase-related records may be retained for a period needed to respond to you, comply with financial or platform requirements, and maintain fraud-prevention records.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, such as limited access, platform security controls, transaction verification, and provider due diligence. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

07International Transfers

The Service and our providers may process information in countries or regions other than where you live. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use reasonable contractual, technical, organizational, or consent-based measures designed to protect transferred information.

For users in Canada, Singapore, or Australia, we will take reasonable steps required by applicable law before transferring personal information to overseas recipients. For California users, we will provide required notices and choices where a transfer or disclosure triggers applicable California privacy requirements.

08Children and Minors

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at qitiaocyl@163.com so we can take appropriate steps.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the Service only with involvement and permission from a parent or legal guardian, especially for photo features and purchases.

09Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, know about, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, restrict, object to, withdraw consent for, or complain about our handling of your personal information.

You can exercise many choices directly on your device, including camera permission, photo library permission, tracking permission, advertising identifier settings, app deletion, and local storage management. To submit a request to us, email qitiaocyl@163.com. We may need to verify your request and may ask for information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity, region, device, transaction, or relationship to the data.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the reason where legally permitted. You may have the right to appeal or complain to a regulator depending on your region.

10Regional Privacy Notices

California privacy law may provide rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights. In the last 12 months, the categories of personal information we may have collected are described in Section 2 above. We use and disclose those categories for the purposes described in Sections 4 and 5.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. If we ever offer features that constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under California law, we will provide required notice and a method to opt out. We use sensitive personal information, if any is provided through photos or support communications, only for permitted purposes or with appropriate notice and choice where required.

You may request access to or correction of personal information and may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.

Singapore

Where Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act applies, we will observe applicable obligations such as consent, purpose limitation, notification, access and correction, accuracy, protection, retention limitation, transfer limitation, accountability, and data breach notification. You may contact us to request access, correction, consent withdrawal, or information about how your personal data has been used or disclosed, subject to legal exceptions.

11Sensitive Information and Photo Caution

Photos can reveal sensitive information, such as faces, locations, relationships, health context, religious settings, political events, children, documents, or private spaces. Qitiao does not require you to import sensitive photos. You should choose images carefully and avoid submitting sensitive personal information unless necessary for a feature you intentionally use.

If a photo includes information about another person, you are responsible for using that photo lawfully and respectfully. If you contact support with screenshots or images, send only what is necessary to resolve your request.

12Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, platform requirements, privacy practices, or security needs. Material updates will be communicated by reasonable means, such as an in-app notice or updated webpage. The effective date at the top of this Policy indicates when this version became effective.
